I'm your Captain, Mundi!
My family has been sailing Feluccas for generations, and for over 15 years I've been sharing this ancient tradition with travelers from around the world. What started as a family trade became my passion: showing people the real Egypt, away from the crowds, where time moves slowly to the gentle rhythm of the Nile.
Our tours are aboard a traditional felucca sailboat — no engines, no noise, no rush. It’s a comfortable liveaboard, with solar panels for lighting and charging your devices, as well as a shower, sink, and toilet, and a cosy sleeping setup: a traditional-style thick mattress, heavy blankets for cooler nights, and mosquito nets for peaceful sleep under the stars.
All trips include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, freshly cooked onboard each day using local recipes and flavours. When you sail with me, you’re not just a visitor — you’re my guest, and for a few unforgettable days, the Nile becomes our shared home.

We received a warm welcome by the crew, which would accompany us from Aswan to Kom Ombo for the next 3 days. The ship was beautifully crafted, clean and comfortable. Ahmed (Mundi), Mahmoud and Hassan took care of all of our wishes, always stayed super kind and helpful. The food, cooked by Hassan, was the best we had in all of Egypt. In the evenings we had nice conversations with the crew at the beaches of the Nile next to a campfire. The whole journey was a truly unique and peaceful experience, would recommend this to anyone who plans to visit Egypt.

I really enjoyed the Nile sailing experience in felucca. I could see the sunset and sunrise. The food was very good and plentiful. We had a campfire in the night and in the morning I could swim in the Nile. Making my transfer with Mundi to Luxor with a night at felucca and then continuing to stop at Kom Ombo and Edfu was a great choice. Although I am a girl traveling alone Mundi inspired me confidence and I arrived well at my destination. I recommend it to anyone who wants to live this beautiful experience.

We organized an overnight felucca trip with captain Mundi from Aswan to Kom Ombo and it was one of the highlights of our family’s trip! He is an excellent captain and cook. Very relaxed with our 2x children-calm & respectful. He made us all feel like the boat was our home. I would highly recommend booking with him!

The felucca trip with Mundi was absolutely wonderful. He, along with the rest of the crew, created an amazing, warm, and family-like atmosphere for us. Cooking together, swimming in the Nile, and spending evenings around the campfire — it all felt truly magical. The crew really took care of us and genuinely looked out for our well-being. I can't imagine a better way to spend those few days on the Nile. I highly recommend choosing this specific trip — I truly feel I’ll never forget it. It's worth every penny (even though it didn’t cost much), and the memories will stay with me for the rest of my life.
